Aldwych Dental is a private practice and does not hold an NHS contract. We accept self-paying patients and recognise most major dental insurance plans including Bupa, Denplan, AXA PPP and Cigna. We also offer 0% finance over twelve months for larger treatment plans.
A new patient consultation is 45 minutes. We take your medical history, examine teeth and soft tissues, perform an oral cancer screening, and take digital X-rays where clinically indicated. You'll leave with a written treatment plan and indicative costs.
Around one in three new patients tells us they're nervous. We offer longer first appointments, clear written plans before treatment starts, and conscious sedation where appropriate. Dr Hartwell is happy to meet you before any clinical work is booked.
We hold back two appointments daily for emergencies — broken teeth, lost crowns, acute pain. Call before 10:00 where possible. Outside opening hours, registered patients can reach the duty clinician through our voicemail number.
We operate to HTM 01-05 standard in a dedicated decontamination room. Every instrument is washed, inspected, pouched and autoclaved with full traceability. Our last CQC inspection rated us Outstanding for safety.
We see patients from the age of three. Children's first visits are free if a parent is registered with us. Appointments are scheduled with Dr Hartwell or Dr Kapur, who both hold paediatric dentistry CPD certification.
